
CLANMO wins bronze at the New Media Award 2009
"Help Snake" awarded a prize as one of top three mobile marketing campaigns
Munich-based CLANMO GmbH wins third prize at the New Media Award with its mobile campaign "Help Snake" for video-game-publisher and –producer Konami Digital Entertainment. According to the jury, the campaign combined the channels Online and Mobile in an efficient and innovative way.
The mobile marketing campaign ran three months in a total of four European countries. Participants received a call from the virtual hero Snake and could assist him tactically during his adventures in the world of "Metal Gear Solid 4" via mobile phone. They used their mobile phones as game-pads in order to control Snake’s moves. The response-rate exceeded 60 percent – notably more than some classical marketing campaigns.
Almost every second campaign-participant registered to be informed with news on the game. "We are very pleased about the award and the appreciation of our work. Mobile Marketing needs brave ideas and open-minded clients to be able to exhaust the possibilities of this medium", says Joachim Bader, Managing Director of CLANMO GmbH.

CLANMO already won the "o2 Grand Prix" for Konami as well as the "Made for Mobile Award" and “MMA Award” for Lufthansa in 2008. The first "Interactive Poster Award" for the client Schiesser went to CLANMO as well. CLANMO is thereby one of the most frequently awarded mobile marketing agencies in the past two years.
